Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Today I wanted to discuss and give some advice about welcoming our second month of the school year. I hope we all entered school in September with an open for change but ready to work mindset, and I hope we were able to stick with this mindset throughout the entire month to perform our best and achieve our goals. Of course not every moment was perfect for all of us despite us having the right mindset. Challenges had to have been thrown our way as we moved on to a higher level, and I myself can say I experienced a few in this last month. However, I believe that as hurt, stressed or angry that we may feel with the challenges we face, we must understand why this problem occurred and what we can do better to improve ourselves for the next time. We should take time to reflect on what went well and what didn't this last month and see what we should continue doing for ourselves and what we should change. This way we can start October feeling good about ourselves and feel better prepared so that we are ready to take on whatever challenges are thrown our way. I believe we should all practice this not just for entering October but as we enter every month so that we continue to improve ourselves. Have a great week!

The weekend
Hello Everyone, I trust that everyone had a great week. Today if you didn't have a good week because you probably were busy with schoolwork or other activity, today do something for yourself. It could be as small as playing video games the whole night like I'm sure the boys in my class are going to do. Or my favorite eating ice cream and listening to music, or even just sitting with your family and watching a memorable movie. What I'm saying is you have to have a balance, you have to have a limit for everything you're pursuing. If you've spent your week studying and putting your best effort towards your schoolwork, do something that'll make you happy, something that you'll enjoy. So if you reading this right now go run enjoy yourself doing whatever your hubby is and have a fabulous time and remember the weekend is just two days people make the most of it.

The Benefits of Reading
By: Jovon James
Reading is beneficial for many reasons. Reading keeps the mind mentally stimulated and prevents diseases such as Dementia and Alzheimer's by keeping the brain active. It also reduces induced by occurrences throughout daily life allows you to relax. Gaining knowledge is another benefit of reading because as you read, you learn all sorts of new information which can come in handy during challenges in life. It also expands the creativity of the mind from reading fictional and novel related books. Reading also improves focus and concentration. When we read something we think is interesting, we tend to aim all our attention on that one topic or story which strengthens the ability for our mind to focus. I hope this discussion helped you understand the benefits of reading! We'll see you tomorrow with a new post!

Monday Motivation!
By: Aashiana Maharaj
Happy Monday and welcome back to Trillium Today! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I wanted to start off this week on a positive note by sharing a quote that will hopefully encourage some of you, as well as myself, to keep going and to keep putting your best foot forward even when it feels like you can't go any further.
I think it is important for us to understand that as stressed and upset as we may feel with certain circumstances in our lives, it is all a part of the learning process and we are going to grow. I hope you can apply this quote to any difficult situations you may face this week, and have an amazing day!

Sandwich Sale Review!
As some of you fellow students already knew, a Sandwich sale took place at the break's and lunch's from the student council. I chose to make a review because I had to attend you all during the sale. In that case, I would like start with saying that it was a great job by my student council partners that helped me in today's event and myself. The sale went better than what I expected, due to the fact that not one sandwich was left! I believe that this happened due to the reasonable prices the student council came up with. Therefore, I would like to thank all the people who bought from this sale because it is helpful for the future of your children, parents, and the development and growth of our great school, Trillium.

Importance of Exercising!
Hello everyone, I'm here to talk about a little bit of health and importance of being fit in other words. The importance of maintaining such a healthy and fit life is to improve stress relief, to be able to develop muscles to protect your bones and to live a longer life. With all these factors said, it leavs us with the question of, how to get there? Simple, just eat healthy foods such as vegetables and fruits and do certain exercises that you find are helping youthe most in terms of fitness. Remember to warmup and stress before you get into any intense workout and keep hydrated so you don't faint in this heatness in our country Trinidad. Stretching comes in for you not to pull muscles, fracture bones or minor injuries such as ankle twists which are common while doing sports. Thank you for everyone who really takes my information in and if you already know all of what I said, there is a link for a video right below. Enjoy!
