Are you angry all the time? What about disrespectful and can't control it? Then I have a solution just for you! Most of you know that Childline came to Trillium a few days ago talking about anger management. I learnt a few things from what they said in their presentation. Here are some tips and tricks that might help you to control yourself:
- Remember that your thoughts control your anger, not the person
- Ask yourself if it really was necessary to get violent.
- When you are made at the other person, stop and listen to their perspective of the argument.
- Get something that makes you happy and try to calm down.
- Count to 10 breathing through your nose and up to 10 exhaling through your mouth.
- Try getting someone that makes you happy to be with you until you calm down.
If none of these tips worked, and you need further help, try calling 800-4321 which is Childline. They are on 24/7 so there is no need for you to be worried about time. For more info call them.
